Venetian Blinds
Horizontal slats, typically 25–50mm, that tilt through a full range. The default choice for living rooms and bedrooms where you want graded control over light through the day.
Precision light control with a slat system sized to your window — not trimmed down from a box.
Blinds are the most adaptable window treatment we install. Because they work on individually tilting slats rather than a single panel of fabric, they let you separate two things most coverings lump together: how much light comes in, and how much of the room someone outside can see.
That makes them the right answer for street-facing rooms, home offices where screen glare is the enemy, and any window where you want daylight without putting the room on display. Every set we supply is built to the measured opening, so the slats sit inside the frame cleanly instead of overhanging it.
Each style solves a different problem. On a consultation we will tell you which one suits the window, including when the cheaper option is the better one.

A 16mm slat for small or shallow windows. The narrower stack means less of the glass is covered when the blind is fully raised — useful on kitchen and bathroom windows.
Vertical louvres that draw to one side. Built for wide spans and sliding patio doors, where a horizontal blind would be too heavy and awkward to raise.
The look of painted or stained timber in a moisture-resistant composite. The correct specification for bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms where real wood will eventually warp.
Basswood and hardwood slats with a genuine grain. Warmer and significantly lighter than composite, which matters on large windows where weight affects how the blind handles.
Thin, durable, and easy to clean. Common in commercial fit-outs and utility spaces where longevity matters more than warmth.
Price depends on the size of the window, the material, and the operating system, so a single figure would be misleading. Aluminium and faux-wood blinds sit at the affordable end, real wood and wide vertical systems cost more. Your free in-home consultation ends with a written, itemised quote and there is no obligation to proceed.
Most blinds are manufactured and ready to install within two to three weeks of order confirmation. Specialty finishes and unusually wide systems can take longer, and we confirm your exact timeline in writing when you place the order.
Usually yes. A micro venetian with a 16mm slat needs far less depth than a standard 50mm system. Where the recess genuinely will not take an inside mount, we fit the blind to the face of the frame instead, which looks deliberate rather than compromised.
It depends on what you want at night. Blinds give you finer daylight control, but even when fully closed a slat system lets some light through the gaps. If total darkness is the priority, a blackout roller shade will outperform any blind. We will say so on the consultation rather than sell you the wrong product.
Yes, using faux-wood or aluminium rather than real timber. Both handle the humidity without warping, and both wipe clean, which matters near a cooktop.
